What is the Go Green Initiative?

The Go Green Initiative is a one of a kind SIMPLE and FULLY COMPREHENSIVE environmental education program designed to create a culture of environmental awareness.  Founded in 2002, the Go Green Initiative unites parents, students, teachers, and school administrators in an effort to make real and lasting changes in their campus communities that will protect children and the environment for years to come.

Nationally
Since 2002, over 400 schools in 25 states have signed onto the Go Green Initiative program.

Locally
In 2006, New York State was declared the Go Green Initiative state of the year.  Since May 2005, over 40 schools throughout New York State have signed onto the Go Green Initiative program.  Click on the SCHOOL LINKS button on the top left of this page to access the list of Go Green Initiative New York schools by region.
