The Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency is a public authority of the State of New York providing solid waste management and recycled materials services in Ulster County, New York.
The Agency employs approximately 40 persons and operates and maintains two permitted transfer stations, a materials recovery facility, a vehicle maintenance facility, diesel pumping station and headquarters building. The Agency also maintains 3 closed landfills and services several municipal drop off centers.
We are currently seeking to enhance the efficiency of our operations and are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team.
Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering Technology or other similar field of study or a Bachelor’s degree in the above with two years experience or an Associate’s degree in the above with five or more years experience or a High school diploma and ten years experience. Experience includes the following: managing a solid waste facility or related facilities, health and safety compliance, financial management, human resource management and customer service.
