From the ubiquitous chasing arrows to the more recent use of terms such as "organic" or "biodegradable," labels designed to help consumers make environmentally sound choices can actually result in more confusion.  A number of efforts are currently underway to change that and to make eco-labels clear, simple and understandable.  Our plenary session will explore some of those efforts.
